I am so excited to announce my new venture...Pynk Ladies...fabulous embellished tees for everyday. My bowling and I decided we needed to spend more time together. :) We have shopped for fun tees but can never find the right one. Good fit, good tee fabric, fun design and the right price. So you know me, I always say "Let's make 'em!".

Can I say...we love KSL/NBC's Studio5! How nice are they and so fun to work with. Since October, we have been on there at least once a month and will be on again this month and next. We're becoming local celebrities or at least a celebrity in my own home. :) Here are some fun pictures from last Wednesday.

At LEAST once at week I discover something that is proof of my motherhood. I decided that I am going to share these awesome discoveries with you each week in my attempt to find the bright side and humor in them. Here are a few that happened in the last month that absolutely prove I am a mother!

~ "My Little Ponies" are a important part of a Nativity scene. Wish I had taken a picture of that one.

~ It is better to set up all your toys in the front room rather than your own room because that is the only room in the house that mom wants to keep clean.

~ Clothes are for someone else, dress-ups are the only thing that can be worn on a daily basis.

~ Boogers wiped in any spot that can be seen by guests are okay.

~ It's my fault when someone wakes up in a bad mood.

First day at our new school, preschool & Geff's B-Day

Guess what? Blogging takes times, of which I don't have. :) So I have decided that pictures sometimes say more than words.

First day of school for Taylor (Middle School-SCARY), Halle 4th and Traver 1st grade. Notice that there is no grass, fencing & etc. School started a week late and the outside is still being finished as we type. We do have a few trees and shrubs now. Maybe we'll have grass before Halloween. Anyway, the kids love it and I love that they have to wear uniforms. Easier for laundry and getting ready in the morning. Unfortunately there is also no cafeteria yet. Yes, that means help pack 3 lunches every morning. One day they will have one. Not this year though.

Bree started preschool and Grandma was there on her first day! It's the best time of the year. I have no kids at home for 2 1/2 hours on Tuesday and Thursdays. I remember thinking about this day and what I might do in this free times. So far I have napped, played on the computer and watched my DVR'd shows. Really productive I would say.

Geff's Birthday was a blast! Since Daddy decided that everyone needs a scavenger hunt for their birthday, we couldn't leave him out. I sent him around the neighborhood collecting clues and present. The kids couldn't stand to let him go alone, so ran along part of the time.
We he got home finally (with a large overgrown Zuchini in tow) the kids hid in front of his big present. I didn't want to waste wrapping paper. :)

Traver and his cousin decided they were brave enough for Muttin' Bustin' this year at the Strawberry Days Rodeo. He tried his best but only held on for 3 seconds. :) His stupid sheep ran along the fence which I'm sure resulted in his lower score.

It's an annual family tradition to go. I wear my strawberry earrings and dress the girls up in cowgirl gear because ya can't go without the garb.

Halle was super excited that her hair was long enough to donate to lock of love! She loved wearing a ponytail daily (mom was not) and decided that short hair would be okay.

....I used to sew for money. LOL! The other day, I was scrolling through old picture of outfits that I used to make when I was in an ebay boutique group. Man, they were cute outfits but it was sooooo time consuming. Lucky for me, I found Kim and www.youcanmakethis.com. :)

My sister was kind enough to share tickets to see the play Wicked. It was so amazing!!!!!!

My sis wore green in honor of the play.

We were three rows away from the stage. We could see them spit and sweat. We are in love with the music and overall theme of the story. It was great, great, great!!!!

...in the world of competitive clogging, I will be known by my designs. :)

It's like a free pass to create whatever I can think of. I have 3 girls (12, 9 & 3) who compete in the clogging world. Most costumes consist of too many sequins, overly tight shiny objects that should not be, the under dressed, the older than 25 competitors that should not dress in hmmmmm....costumes and just the plain old black pants with a shirt they found a Wally world.

I will not let my girls blend in or stand out for the wrong reasons! I will not give in to the norm. On that note, I have decided to make my 12 year a new Freestyle costume. (2 days before the competition.) LOL! I hope to finish tomorrow before the packing begins to leave. Here a a few of my stand out designs. You might think, no biggie or a little over the top but you haven't been to these things.

Today I was reflecting on things that I have been able to complete or accomplish in the last little while. I realized that I owe a BIG thanks to a few people:

Mike Slade Photography (aka, my neighbor) Thanks so much for taking pictures at the last minute for my ebooks. I can't imagine how much it would cost me to set up my own studio or send items out for pictures. Bundles of money saved!!

I woke up Tuesday morning to find a post by Kim (my boss) saying that the producer at Good Things Utah (local morning talk show) wanted her to be on Wednesday show. Ackkk. Only 12 hours to prepare! The team quickly whipped up some projects to show off as part of our Thrifty Under 50 challenge.
I think we are starting to become pros at this. Kim delivered another amazing segment for them and then we went to the CheeseCake Factory for lunch. Yummmmmy!

Years ago, we toke a little trip to Moab with Grandma and Grandpa Tucker. Halle was 1 and Taylor was 4 years old. While hiking, a photographer asked if her could take a picture of Geff, Grandma, Taylor and Halle while they were coming down the trail from Delicate Arch. This photographer was taking pictures for the new visitor's center. On you next visit there take a look at the first big pictures and stand in awe of their "Famous'ness"! :)

We have had our garden for almost three years now and it's a learning experience for us. The good news is, that we grew some tasty peas.
We also may have corn, tomatoes, cilantro, pumpkins, peppers and lots of weeds. We were too proud of ourselves not to share pictures of our peas!

Our first broken bone!

Taylor has been nicest enough to be the first when it comes to stitches and broken bones. The last week of school during kickball, she tried to catch the ball with her wrist, creating a buckle fracture of her arm bone. The Dr. and I didn't think it was broken until the x-rays came out. Ooops! She actually very proud of it and loves having it signed. And of course we had to make a stylish arm sling for her as well. Good thing it's waterproof!

We were very fortunate to
have great weather!

Most families spend their "last days" before the wedding doing safe, fun-filled, quiet activities......no not the Bartholomews.

We like to live on the edge, see how much stress we can induce and pretty much make ourselves crazzzzzy.

Just a few of the exciting activities of the week:
Sewing till odd hours, redoing hems & seams
over and over and over again.

That's right, there was snow in June in Beaver but these were taken in March. :) I forgot to post them. Taylor and Halle are becoming quite the skiers. They are fast approaching my level of skiing which isn't hard to do.

More Clogging at Lagoon in May!

May was competition month for clogging! We headed up to Lagoon for the Nationals and came home very happy with how the girls did including Bree.

Halle competed a duet with her friend Victoria. Their music was the "I Dream of Jeannie" theme song and it was sooo cute.

Breelyn did her freestyle which was the highlight of the morning! Taylor also competed freestyle and line solos. Both Halle and Taylor came away with Junior All American Titles!!!

Grandma Delsa

My Grandma Delsa passed away this April due to health complications. She was a wonderful woman full of life and love! Most of my family was fortunate enough to be able to be there for her funeral. It was a mini family reunion full of memories and hugs.

Thanksgiving Point....Colder than Cold!

Taylor's team was fortunate (Hah) to be one of the teams to perform at the Tulip Festival at Thanksgiving Point. We looked forward to going early to walk the garden and enjoy a beautiful Sprin day. Boy, were we mistaken! The weather turned on us and it turned out to look beautiful but was a beast of a evening. I bet it got down in the 30's by the time the sun went down and the only people in the amphitheater were parents of the dances huddling close to conserve warmth. But the dancers toughed in out in their less than warm costumes and got the job done.

Lions & Tigers & Bears.....Oh My!

It was time again for the semi annual trip to the Zoo. The best part of the trip this year was.......no stroller!!! Hoorah, Bree is 2 1/2 and has no need for the stroller. I can see the light at the end of the baby stage. Next is no diapers!

The weather was great and the kids were happy. What more can you ask for! Hmmm, well we bought the annual pass, so now the kids think we have to come every week. HAH!

St. George Clogging Competition

Two weeks ago, we had the chance to travel down to St. George for a clogging competition for the girls. Halle and her partner, Victoria, won first place for their short duet and their freestyle!
Taylor and her cousin, McKenna entered the highest level for their short duet and competed against kids a lot older than they were. At the end, they beat them out and won Junior Overall Champs!! We also drove by the ballpark and golf club where High School Musical was filmed. I'm not sure which was better in the girls eyes.....a trophy or seeing the actual set where HSM was! Bree also competed in the 3 and under category but I didn't have my camera ready and it was over before it began. She loved every minute of being on stage and can't wait till the next "clog show".

It's only been 4 years since my last craft show. Things in the craft show world have changed since then but I gave it a good shot and came out pretty happy with the result thanks to my neighbor's designing eye. Thanks Kelly!

Fire, fire, fire!

Well it' not quite Spring but who says you can't make it feel like a warm Spring night. Last night we made out attempt at that by throwing a bonfire/marshmellow roasting party with the neighbors. Our resident professional photographer thought he would record the blessed event through a little time laspe photography. Take and look and join in the feel of Spring

We, of course, had smores and lots of chocolate! Geff "unleashed" the small 4-wheeler the kids got for Christmas and let all the kids have turns. A 6 year old guest decided to take a turn to fast and almost completely rolled the himself and the wheeler. Ten minutes later, Traver barely missed Bree running by. Needless to say, Mom decided we were done with that. Good times were had by all.
